Gloucester Carnival 2019

On the 13th July a colourful procession celebrating Myths and Legends consisting of floats, people powered machines, dancers and more will move through the gate streets of Gloucester to Gloucester Park.

The floats are made by various communities, groups, schools, local businesses and more and they are all hoping to be the brightest, loudest and most fantastic in order to win a trophy cup (or two!)

In it’s 83rd year it is one of the oldest Gloucester events still running and is growing bigger and better every year with more people taking part.

What's involved?

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us steward this fantastic event.

Why get involved?

A great opportunity for anyone who wants experience in festivals and events; enjoys culture and likes working as part of a varied team of people.

Gloucester Carnival brings together some of the most vibrant and creative people in Gloucester and it’s a great opportunity to meet the people who are pushing Gloucester forward creatively.

You will also gain and practice team working and customer service skills whilst working with a large cross section of the public. Such skills are very useful for a whole host of volunteer and paid work situations (so very useful ones to be able to talk about at interviews and on your CV) as well as general social situations.

How to get involved?

  1. Sign into your account or sign up to Volunteer Makers.
  2. Accept the challenge
