King’s Jam is the festival to be at if you want to see some of the UK latest, most talked-about and respected hip hop and urban acts such as WSTRN, Young T & Bugsey, Tiffany Calver & Stylo G as well as incredible local artists and bands such as Griz O, Naides and much more. As the name suggests it takes place in King’s Square Gloucester over the weekend of 10th & 11th August.
King’s Jam is a community owned, community run event and would not happen without a lot of hard work from a lot of volunteers. We need a whole range of people to work in daytime and evening slots, both behind the scenes and front of house to make sure the event goes smoothly.
We need people to help prepare and serve food and drinks to everyone watching the performances. You could find yourself helping to run the bar, serving up snacks or trying your hand at some more involved culinary delights. You'll also be taking payments for the food and drinks.
Why get involved?
If you are looking to gain experience of the hospitality trade then there is no better place to do it than as part of our laid back but high profile festival. You’ll hone your customer service as well as practical food and drink skills and know that you are making a real contribution to one of Gloucester’s most exciting festivals. You'll also be gaining cash handling experience and skills in a customer facing environment.
