The Discover DeCrypt project is working with the local community to regenerate St Mary de Crypt Church and the Old Crypt Schoolroom into welcoming and accessible buildings in the heart of Gloucester, for all to enjoy, especially for children, young people and families. The buildings will be a community centre, cultural hub and heritage attraction. We will provide opportunities for learning through tours, talks and events, and school visits. There will be many events, from concerts and arts courses to being a space for training and meetings. This is all happening alongside the continued use of the church as a place of worship and prayer.
To achieve all this we very much need your help and one of the quickest and easiest way you can help is to follow us on social media, tweet and post about us and share our tweets and posts. The more people that know about our project and the more people we get involved, the greater our project will be.
Just follow us on Twitter or Facebook @discoverdecrypt. Add your comments and photos about your visits or our events, and share the news of how our project is progressing.
Why get involved?
Through Discover DeCrypt we want to work with the local community to make St Mary de Crypt Church and the Old Crypt Schoolrooms into a place that all can enjoy and use. We are very much part of your community and we want to be part of your on-line community as well. You’ll be helping us spread the message of our work and events, whilst also being amongst the first people to know about our progress and what exciting things we have planned for our buildings.
