Inclusion Gloucestershire supports people with physical or learning disabilities or mental ill health to have bigger dreams, better lives and brighter futures.
Inclusion Gloucestershire runs inclusion hubs across the county, quality checks 170 support settings a year, delivers training, creates accessible short films and conducts research into support, best practice and legislation around disabilities and mental ill health. As you can imagine making all this happen there is a lot of back room office work. We would really appreciate a volunteer to help us with basic admin duties to allow us to offer the best possible services to as many people as possible.
We are looking for someone to help with basic office administration tasks such as answering the telephone, taking messages off the answerphone, photocopying, scanning, filing, sorting and sending out post and shredding. You could also be involved with creating and editing basic word and excel documents. We are quite happy to tailor what you do to suit your skill level and ability and if you have any particular admin skills that you are wishing to practice and develop.
You would be based in our office at 2 St Michaels Square. It has wheelchair access and is close to car parks and public transport hubs. If you have any particular access needs do not hesitate to get in contact with us to discuss them. I can be contacted on email@example.com
Ideally, we would like someone to commit 12 hours each month (so maybe around a half day each week) to this volunteering position.
Why get involved?
This is a fantastic volunteer opportunity for someone will an interest in inclusion, disability rights and who is looking to gain experience in the voluntary sector, and / or someone who is looking to build up their administrative skills ready for paid work. We are a small friendly office and you will be well supported.
Inclusion Gloucestershire is also able to pay out of pocket travel expenses for your volunteering and training.
