Gloucester Cathedral Oral History Interviewing Team

We need people to help us collect oral history interviews from people that have worked, volunteered, worshiped at or lived within the Cathedral’s grounds, to ensure that the Cathedrals more recent and day to day history is not lost.

Befriend a young person in care

An independent visitor is a volunteer who befriends and develops a long-term relationship with a young person in care. You become a consistent, trusted and supportive person that has a real positive impact on that young person’s life.

We are looking to recruit a team of volunteers to provide a warm welcome to visitors at our new Greystones Visitor Centre in Bourton-on-the-Water.

Can you listen without judgement? Be a friendly ear to those needing to talk. Then please be part of our listening service at the mental health drop in evenings at the Cavern.

Do you have the drive, ambition and passion to steer the Spring Centre to help it support children, young people and their families that are living with complex disabilities in our local area? Then you would be ideal to join our team of trustees.

Have a flare for flower arranging and wish your creation could be seen by a wider audience? Enjoy watering arrangements to keep them fresh? The Flower Guild provides the beautiful floral backgrounds to our services and life at the Cathedral.

Hesters Way Library runs a busy and well loved Lego Club alternate Saturday mornings. So, if you like building, designing & making join our Lego volunteer team.

Education Explorer at National Waterways Museum Gloucester

If you are passionate about engaging and enthusing children and young people about our waterways in schools, youth groups and at our Waterways Museum, then our Explorer Education volunteer role is for you!

Gloucester Library Baby Bounce & Rhyme

Do you enjoy nursery rhymes, songs, wiggling & jiggling? Fancy helping babies and their grown-ups explore these as effective and fun methods of communication at the Gloucester Library bounce & rhyme sessions?

Gloucester Library Computer Buddy

We need computer buddy volunteers willing to share their IT skills with other Gloucester library users to allow them to confidently go on-line, use basic Office packages, save and scan pictures and use the library’s catalogue.

Enthusiastic about music or want experience in event management? Then volunteer to help with the admin and office tasks for the Three Choirs festival. It is a great opportunity to gain experience and indulge your passions.
